Welcome to the project page of the “Data Science” team of the Digital Art History Summer School 2020. Thanks for your visit.
In the current circumstances, this Summer School is entirely online. And so are our tools and data. As a result, this team is leveraging services and datasets via REST APIs, including millions of cultural data records. We are working in the cloud with a “serverless” architecture (function-as-a-service/FaaS).
This Summer School is about learning. Learning from instructors, from each other, from mistakes, error messages and the challenge to overcome them. It is also about experience. To gain experience with data and tools and with computational thinking. This is easily achieved with the no-code platforms that we use.
